We had the perfect weekend getaway here with our dog. The cabin was comfortable, spacious, and clean. We liked the seating area outside by the grill. The river was everything it was advertised to be. I had a few spots saved to go to in the area, but the access here seemed way better so we didn't even bother leaving. There's a fire pit area on site making this a great spot to visit in any season. Matt is absolutely amazing and took such good care of us.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Arrowhead on the Nueces, and it was fantastic. The owners were awesome and the accommodations were great. We stayed in the cottage, the tiny house, and also had a couple of folks in the "Hotel" side. We ended up spending more time on the property than expected — cooking meals at the cottage and gathering around the fire each night. But of course, the river is the real reason to go. We had an awesome time kayaking and fishing for a couple of days. Heads up: one of the owners, John (also known as the Nutty River Guide), took us out and showed us some truly amazing spots along the river. If you’re looking to get on the water, definitely check him out — he’s got great rentals and a ton of knowledge about the area. We’d come back in a heartbeat, and we plan to.

Great place to spend a few days. We had the main house, and it was a perfect gathering spot for our group in different rooms on the property. The river was beautiful, and Amanda and Samantha were both helpful. We can't wait to come back and spend more time.

Almost don’t want to share the secret, but there’s a reason this place has all 5 star reviews - it’s awesome! The swimming hole is so beautiful, cool, clear and peaceful with deep and shallow parts. The rooms were very clean and comfortable with nice little breezeway porches. Matt, the host takes hospitality to the next level making sure everyone has what they need and porting you to the river and back for a small fee. We’ve grown tired of hit or miss air bnbs and it was so nice to rent a cabin at Arrowhead where old fashioned true hospitality is alive and well. We’ll definitely be back and next time for longer! It’s pristine hill country at its best like I remember as a kid… if you do rent here please leave the river as beautiful as you found it. It’s a true gem of a place

Great place to stay. We stayed in the cottage. Very comfortable lodging. Customer service was good, Amanda and JD were great. River access is beautiful, and great for swimming. We stayed for 3 nights. Only thing I’d say needing improvement was the tall grass on the grounds. I didn’t let the kids run around too much, I was worried about the kids coming up on a snake or spider. Also we had a small scorpion in our room, but nothing major. Overall we’d book again and recommend. Family Dollar is literally down the street, so that is a major plus!

Great place to stay while enjoying the river. We were spread an across a few units, the cottage, tiny house and one of the bunk houses and everyone agreed it was perfect. Fire pit was a great way to end every night, especially after a full day kayaking on the crystal clear Nueces. Huge shout out to Nutty River Guide for the kayaks and fun. John and Amanda were always quick to answer any questions and make sure our stay was perfect.

Took my family here for my birthday weekend and all of us had a blast ! The host is so nice and very welcoming. The swimming hole is a little walk but the guy that was running the place offers to take everyone there in his Polaris ranger . We camped there and the camping grounds were clean and very beautiful . The shower area and bathroom was clean as well . I will definitely be going back soon. Safe to say we found our family’s new camping spot . 10/10
